The African boy Yomi is very ill. ‘Hold on,’ his mother says. ‘We’ll go to the hospital.’ Mother is leaving with Yomi on her back. The way to the hospital is long. They ride on the back of a donkey, in the back of a truck and in a mini-taxi. Yomi keeps getting sicker. To distract him, his mother tells him the story of his cuddle-turtle. It’s a story about making your dreams come true.
Western children see that ‘going to the doctor’ is not everywhere as obvious. Brightly colored illustrations.
